What to expect
- Meet the people working on the same problems. Connect with councils, environmental groups, river trusts, national park authorities, water companies and others who care about sanitation and water quality in your area.
- Take part in practical, interactive activities. Work through the shared issues affecting your region, from nutrient pollution and pressure on water resources to the challenges of non-sewered sanitation.
- Find out more about the Flush Forward Challenge. Hear how the Challenge will fund and support up to three UK organisations, each receiving £40,000, to analyse these issues in their region and develop a vision for tackling them. This includes exploring new approaches such as Reinvented Toilet technologies, which can safely treat waste without a water, sewer or mains power connection.
- Ask questions. Our team will be on hand to talk through the Challenge, the application process and what taking part involves.
Who should come
These workshops are for organisations that deal with the social and environmental effects of sewage and non-sewered sanitation in their region, and that have a role in doing something about them. That might include local authorities, NAVs (New Appointments and Variations), rivers trusts and nature charities, national park authorities and small water companies. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Reinvented Toilet technologies to take part.
